From an Indian view the highlight for this years Geneva Motor Show needs to be the RACEMO sports car out of Tata Motorss latest sub-brand, TAMO. So we chosen to shine the lens on the man who led the team in which designed the vehicle but got chatting with him.

evo Of india: Can you tell us somewhat about how this motor vehicle was born?

Pratap Bose: We had the actual sandwich technology as quickly as 2007. We designed some internal methods and were aiming to understand how to deploy fractional treatments effectively and in a smart way. It was a creature we didn’t totally appreciate back then. From there most of us moved to a stage where the design crew said that here is a technology that allows us to make something that will be achievable even in low volumes since it will have a high impact. That is when we came up with the idea of doing a two-seater roadster. During May 2015 we exhibited a foam type this car towards management. They were pleased enough with it must if there was any reason why we hadn’capital t made such a auto. So it was chosen at that meeting in which in 2017 we would expose a production model, not a concept, on the car to the world for the Geneva Motor Show.

evo: Were being these made in Pune?

Pratap: Virtually no, these two are the 1st examples of this automotive and are made in Turin. However , eventually, these vehicles would have to be made in India.

evo: Give us sense of the excitement at Tata Motors about TAMO and this vehicle

Pratap: Its a good once in a lifetime opportunity for a designer to create a brand. People haven’t just fashioned the product you see in this article. We have designed almost everything, from the logo on the jackets we are carrying to the clothes the actual models are wearing to the banners the truth is here. We have built everything and in doing so have created the brand.

evo: So what is the construction of the car?

Pratap: The two main thermo-formed skins that are brought together and then sealed in the edges. We then plough a special foaming materials that starts reacting, be the foam and fulfills up the hollows. What this definitely does is give a light but super, super inflexible component. It’s an amalgamated but not carbon fibre. The tub is created with this content and then a front sub-frame together with rear sub-frame are bolted on to this bathtub.

evo: What sort of reactions perhaps you have seen so far to that vehicle?

Pratap: So far, okazaki, japan and Koreans have been everywhere this, which indicates potentially they are seeing this being a benchmark. They have out of the blue realised that a corporation like Tata Motors is pretty capable of creating such as this.

evo: Is this subscription four metres?

Pratap: Sure! The RACEMO is 3850mm long time the RACEMO Plus is actually longer than 4000m.

evo: What thing about this car is joined?

Pratap: The entire car is definitely connected. Apart from the ordinary, the connectivity of your car extends to the computer being able to learn plus predict what your following move might be.
